Integrate Firefox’s Downloads with the Firefox Launcher Icon on Ubuntu 11.04 Unity Sidebar

Are you looking for an easy way to integrate Firefox’s downloads with the Launcher Icon on the Unity Sidebar? Then you will definitely want to have a look at the UnityFox Extension. UnityFox adds a download progress bar and active downloads counter badge to the Firefox Launcher Icon for easy monitoring.

You can see the modification to the Launcher Icon and our Firefox Downloads Window together above for comparison. If you love monitoring your downloads but want the screen clear, then this is the extension for you.

Note: Installing the extension does not require a browser restart!

Probably next version of Firefox won’t require this extension to get some Unity love.

I do enjoy your selection of anime wallpapers. Keep it up (b^_^)b

@Chris – It will be very interesting to see how well everything integrates into the whole Unity UI by 11.10. ^_^

Anyone else having this issue in Unity: The clumsy dropshadow will cover the top of any maximised window. Any help to this besides deleting the shadows’s png file?
This spoiles my Unity experience so far that I continue to use the classic interface. (Running on virtual box on a Mac).

I hate Ubuntu 11.04 and the fake Wannabe Windows 7 Superbar. WHich is what it looks like to me.
