The Tinker's Rules [Infographic]

Whether you tinker with mechanical devices, electronics, or both, you’re sure to relate to The Tinker’s Rules–a set of rules covering the workshops and behaviors of tinkers.

David Malki, the guy behind the Wondermark comics, created a really cool eight-page Victorian-esque magazine with beautiful artwork and entertaining projects from days gone by. The last page of the comic is a set of rules for makers, builders, and tinkers to live by. If you’re a tinker of any stripe you’ll strongly relate to the list. You start at the beginning of the eight-page book here or jump right to the tinker’s rules at the link below.

Jason Fitzpatrick is a warranty-voiding DIYer who spends his days cracking opening cases and wrestling with code so you don't have to. If it can be modded, optimized, repurposed, or torn apart for fun he's interested (and probably already at the workbench taking it apart). You can follow him on if you'd like.

Oh dear, you need to read a dictionary. At least a UK one. A Tinker (now usually a rather derogatory term of abuse), was a traveller or gypsy who often sold items such as clothes pegs door to door. A Tinkerer is someone who tinkers with things.

    I caught that too Gus.
