Craft a Simple Laptop and Tablet Stand from Cardboard

You need to prop your laptop or tablet up at a comfortable angle but you’re not too excited about the idea of spending a lot of money on a stand. Fair enough, this study cardboard stand should do the trick.

It’s not pretty–although if you have access to a laser cutter and acrylic it could be–but it gets the job done. Hit up the link below to read more and download the template. The entire project is made from cardboard you have laying around the house although industrious geeks could just as easily use a lightweight wood or metal for a more expensive but a smaller “I made it with duct tape!” kind of vibe.

I’d rather buy one for under 3$ from Ikea, in fact I did. Works pretty well with my HP tm2t.

This is cute for dire situations like in the middle of a competition or something, but if you’re going to build your own, why not put in some hardwood and nails? :)

I love DIY stuff and innovation and all that but isn’t a laser cutter extremely expensive (penny wise – pound foolish) and if you have access to one, you are probably at work (using company equipment on company time – dishonest) maybe give up a few lattes and just buy one
