IKEA Table to Mame Arcade Cabinet Conversion Plays Thousands of Games
If you’re a fan of old school arcade and console gaming, what better way to spend your weekend than turning an IKEA cabinet into a polished arcade game system with a retro table-top arcade feel.
Peter Mars, a French gaming enthusiast, has created an entire blog devoted to his IKEA table to Mame cabinet conversion with detailed photos of every step. The blog is in French but the photos are detailed enough that except for specific wiring and software tips you’ll likely not even need Google Translate.
Hit up the link below to check out the entire build process or, if you’re more of a pinball wizard at heart, check out this DIY digital pinball cabinet.

Jason Fitzpatrick is warranty-voiding DIYer and all around geek. When he's not documenting mods and hacks he's doing his best to make sure a generation of college students graduate knowing they should put their pants on one leg at a time and go on to greatness, just like Bruce Dickinson.
