iDoneThis Records Your Daily Accomplishments via Email Prompts

Logging your daily achievements is an excellent motivator and a great way to see what you’ve accomplished. iDoneThis automates the process by sending you a daily email prompt and logging your replies.

Walter Chen, the founder of iDoneThis, was inspired by the daily logging method we use here at How-To Geek but wanted to automate the process and condense it down into a daily check-in.

Every day you get an email from iDoneThis with the simple question “What’d you get done today?”. Reply to the email and the log you’ve created is attached to your calendar at You can easily scan through the calendar to see your past achievements for a boost of motivation today.

Hit up the link below to take the free service for a test drive; later this evening you’ll receive your first email prompt and can begin logging your accomplishments.

Jason Fitzpatrick is a warranty-voiding DIYer who spends his days cracking opening cases and wrestling with code so you don't have to. If it can be modded, optimized, repurposed, or torn apart for fun he's interested (and probably already at the workbench taking it apart). You can follow him on if you'd like.

I haven’t signed up, so I haven’t looked at the options yet.

Is it possible to export the information contained for use outside of the webapp? Something like an ical file would be great.

Great suggestion, John. We haven’t yet implemented iCal support, but it’s something that’s definitely on our radar.

I don’t see a method for removing/deleting an account. How does one do that?
