Easy Filters Blocks Calls and Text Messages on Android Phones
If you’re looking for a flexible way to block specific numbers from calling and texting you, Easy Filter Call Blocker & SMS is an Android-based filter that is easy to configure and deploy.
Easy Filter goes well beyond simply blocking a call or text. You can set up notices to send a text message to the person you’ve blocked (you may, for example, want to let everyone know that you’re blocking contact because you’re in a meeting and will check back when you’re out). You can also vary your blocking scenario opting to block based on the block list, everyone, no one, allow only numbers that are contacts in your phonebook or you can even create a focused white list by inverting the role of the block list and blocking everyone but those listed in the application.

If only some bright developer would come up with a blocking app that would play the “Beep-boop-beeeep We’re sorry, the number you have reached has been disconnected or is no longer in service” recording to get rid of telemarketers once and for all.
Ahem ahem… iPhone users?
ahem ahem fail, Shatryst
Google Voice has that option, although you have to select it per caller. Handles the repeat junk calls nicely. (Not specifically a mobile app function.)
David. That’s brilliant! Mark, was your comment a response to David’s comment?
Does this option make sense?
“Block The Block List”
LOL
Correct me if I am wrong but what ever is in the block list should be blocked in the beginning with, that’s why its called “The Block List”.
isnt the 5th option ridiculous “Block All Except Block list” is like
Allow all the ones I want to be blocked
block ones that I want to receive.
If its blocking automatically the ones in Block list, then this option is same as “Block All”.
Will it take care of the “Unknown Caller”? No name and no number.
What actions does it take for blocking other than voicemail routing? Can it forward, pick up and hold, or pick up and hang up?
I have it on my Samsung Android phone and it worked beautifully until yesterday. Now I am getting calls from a number that is on the block list! Why? I tried removing and re-adding the number and it did not help.
