Do Not Track Plus Stops Web Sites from Tracking You

Do Not Track Plus is a Firefox extension that combines the do-non’t-track header with protection lists for comprehensive tracking avoidance while surfing the web.

Unlike all-or-nothing no tracking flags, the Do Not Track Plus extension for Firefox allows you to set white and black lists for websites you would prefer to be tracked or not tracked by. You may, for example, want a shopping site you get benefits from or a news site that gives you customized articles to be allowed to track you.

The tool also preserves anti-tracking cookies even when you wipe the rest of the cookies in your browser’s cache; effectively stopping you from accidentally rescinding your opt out cookies from anti-tracking sites.

The ChromeBlock extension, also by Abine, is the tracking blocker for Chrome if anyone’s running that and wants the same capability.

What’s awesome is that on this page is an ad for LightingUniverse, a site I visited not that long ago.

    So, clearly, you’re tracking me.

If I install this, what happens to your ad revenue?

I use Ghostery instead, its available for all browsers.

Why are you people so paranoid about “being tracked”? It’s not like somebody is tracking *you*, they’re just making statistics and personalizing ad systems. Not like I care about that, because I simply block those ads.

Internet Explorer 9 has it to. Just go to tools- saftey- tracking protection. Need to go to web site to have them added to IE9.

AdBlockPlus is still best anti-tracking extension with Ghostery almost close second. I do not see reason to reinvent wheel again.

@Boris, ABP and Ghostery are on two different leagues. ABP blocks ads (with some that could potentially track you) while Ghostery blocks trackers. you should use both.
