TV Antenna Helper Makes HDTV Antenna Calibration a Snap

If you’re rocking an Android device, TV Antenna Helper is a free tool that will help you orient your HDTV antenna for best signal strength.

The free (ad-supported) application checks your location and lists all the HDTV stations within range. You can check signal strength, use compass bearings to help align the antenna with the stations you want to tune, and check additional information about the station and your orientation to it. It’s the kind of tool you won’t need everyday but when trotted out will save you tons of time and aggravation.

Jason Fitzpatrick is a warranty-voiding DIYer who spends his days cracking opening cases and wrestling with code so you don't have to. If it can be modded, optimized, repurposed, or torn apart for fun he's interested (and probably already at the workbench taking it apart). You can follow him on if you'd like.

If you buy it and don’t like it can you return it for a full refund?

That app is not allowed to be downloaded in Denmark where I’m from, have you got any international alternatives?

On a sidenote it seems you sometimes forget to be more international here on HTG, maybe you’re already taking this in to consideration, if so it doesn’t really reflect in your articles. Just meant to be a heads up for you guys, since this is a great geek spot on the vast internet.

    Cheers from Denmark
