Lucky Kid Gets Playable Angry Birds Cake [Video]
If you’re a six-year-old that loves Angry Birds we’re not sure you could get a better cake than a playable Angry Birds mock-up.
It’s one thing to make a static Angry Birds cake, that takes a certain level of cake baking skill. It’s another thing altogether to make a cake that is a playable mock-up of the game, complete with slingshot and avian projectiles.
It’s become a family tradition that I make increasingly ridiculous birthday cakes for my kids each year. So with my little boy Ben turning 6-years-old over the weekend, and appreciating his love of Angry Birds, I thought I’d have a shot a making him a playable Angry Birds birthday cake with working catapult and iced birds as ammunition. [...] It took 10 hours to make and 2 minutes to destroy.

That’s amazing! The first happy smile i’ve had all day, thanks HTG :) – I wish my dad was that considerate though.
Who’s going to make the bird sounds? :D
Awesome !!
I want to know is how he is going to get the Yellow bird to speed up in mid air; not to mention the little Blue Birds to split into three in mid air. ;-)
Great work!
Only one word comes to mind “SWEET”!!!
@HoseHead78: Not to mention the black bird… Dangerous :D
nice to see a parent doin something awesome for his kid!
Am I the only one who wants to eat those columns?
Rovio should hire this dad. :)
Spoiled Kid Gets Playable Angry Birds Cake [Video]
I fixed the typo in the post title for you…..
Absolutely excellent
Awesome !!!!!! What a great idea and very sweet for parents tot ake the time to make and work that out. They’re not “spoiled” kids, they are treasured as they should be !
@Will – that’s just mean. He’s not spoilt, he just has a father who is caring enough to take the time to make a cake that gave Ben a really good birthday.
@ Will
SUPER UNLIKE!!!!
If your father didn’t love you. that’s your problem. but please, don’t make stupid comments about nice things like this.
That is so frickin awesome!
And I have to agree that the kid is not spoiled for getting a cake like this. This is just two wonderfully loving parents putting hard-work and thought into their child’s birthday celebration to create memories.
I promise that Ben will remember this for a long time very fondly not because he simply got a cake of Angry Birds but because it was something that his parents put a lot of thought into and was able to share with him as a experience.
Great Work!! I too, enjoy making special cakes for my kids. Too bad they both just had their birthdays. I may just have to make one of these, just for the heck of it. Thanks for sharing!
