Microsoft’s Windows Media Player Extension Adds H.264 Support Back to Google Chrome

If you were saddened by Google’s decision to remove H.264 video support from Google Chrome, you can get it back using Microsoft’s Windows Media Player HTML5 Extension for Chrome.

Just install the extension, and you should be back in business. Although… it should be noted that most sites these days are using Flash-based video players that include H.264 support already, so it’s probably not necessary to install for most people, unless you directly play MP4 videos in the browser.
