For an interesting peek in the history of innovation over the last century take a gander at this collection of vintage advertisements hawking everything from plastic pipes to weather control to color television.

Wired magazine has gathered up 32 vintage posters from an upcoming exhibition hosted by the International Vintage Poster Dealers Association oriented around the changed in technology over the last century. From the poster we’ve highlighted here you can see, for example, that General Dynamics once had an ad out to dazzle the public with their power over the weather–wonder how that worked out for them?
