iDOS Loads Classic DOS Games on Your iOS Device

Late last year Apple pulled iDOS, a DOS emulator for iOS devices, from the App Store. Just this week it returned with some modifications that prevent you from using iTunes to load in extra DOS apps. Check out how to work around that without jailbreaking your phone.

Ultima Aiera, a website for fans of the Ultima series of games, has shared a tutorial demonstrating how to use iPhone Explorer–the same app we used in our iOS data backup tutorial earlier this week–to load extra DOS games into iDOS, effectively circumventing the restrictions Apple imposed on the app. Hit up the link below to check out their step-by-step guide to getting any DOS game you want into iDOS.

Um, wasn’t this pulled again, like the day it was released (again)?

I can’t get iPhone Browser to work without a jailbreak. Any reason why? I use iOS 4.2.1. I think it’s kind of nifty I was able to snag this before Apple pulled it again. ^_^
