Looks like Kinkakuji in Kyoto (apologies for the bad western spelling). The summer picture of the same temple is one of the desktop images that ships with Snow Leopard, I think. Nice place to visit.
@giarc, really? The Golden Pavillion (that’s Kinkakuji in English; the same temple also appeared in Age of Empires III: The Asian Dynasties) summer photo as a wallpaper in Snow Leopard? Keeewl. I thought the only wallpaper was that purple cloud thing. Lol. Sorry for my ignorance, btw; I never used a Mac in my whole life. :D
