The Life of Gadgets in Price and Popularity [Infographic]

The Washington Post shares an interesting set of infographics charting the rise and fall of popular electronics–like analog cellphones starting at $4,000 a pop and falling to under $100.

They have a chart for a variety of gadgets including communication tools, computers, televisions, video and photo equipment, and audio gear. While all of the charts are interesting, perhaps the most dramatic chart is the on for audio gear, seen here. While the other charts show similar rising and falling demand for different gadgets the audio chart shows a distinct peak for each kind of audio gear in successive waves: radios, cd players, and mp3 players.
