C64x: A Commodore 64 with Blu-Ray, Dual-Core Processors, and More
This Commodore 64 hasn’t just been hollowed out and stuffed with modern guts as a sort of retro case mod. It’s a faithful rebuild with modern guts and features a custom boot menu with Commodore 64 emulation–old school computing here we come.
Not only can you boot into Windows, Linux, or other supported operating systems but you can boot yourself right back in time to the C64 OS to enjoy your favorite old school programs and games. Visit the link below to read up on the specs and check out some more photos. Thanks v_cr!

Obviously Fake, and just an (infeasible) idea. See the images. All photoshopped (edited) images…
It is very clear that this isn’t a real thing (yet). You think it even exists?
But, maybe I’m wrong. Perhaps this was intended to be a funny etc post !
(and in that case, I apologize for the misunderstanding) ;)
Actually I’m pretty sure it’s real, though it does seem like something that would be fake.
The pictures look edited, a bit ‘photoshopped’… Oh well, that’s my wrong perception, i guess :)
I was thinking it was fake as well due to the non-functional buy online button and the Coming Soon store, but they do have a link to Phoenix and I know that’s a real product. I’ll tell you what, if it doesn’t cost an asinine price like the phoenix, I’d buy it.
OK, maybe it is fake, that’s some old tech in it.
Its fake.
Why the hell the Blue Ray is so flat on that surface?
look at the news tab and they tell you it is not yet available and that the pictures are what it will look like.

This photo will show you that it was Photoshopped. The lines don’t lie.
wow. someone must have too much time on their hands, but that is pretty cool nonetheless. whod expect that from a commodore 64.
reminds me of my laptop. it came with a blu ray player and writer.
The Commodore 64 i actually like it, if this is for real wow well done.
My son sold my C64 for 2 lines of coke 25 years ago. My wife was dying of cancer and one night when I came home from the hospital my daughters to me their brother took it.
Well, I’ve seen and heard of plenty of “vaporware” but this site is serious about the attempt to bring the Commodore 64 back to life with modern components. They say they have bought up the rights to the Commodor and Amiga brands.
The new OS is currently called Workbench 5. This machine is to be set up for multi-boot with the old C64 OS to run in emulation. Windows can be added by the user. The included software list is quite impressive if they actually launch this thing.
If they get anywhere with it I might be interested myself. It would be just odd enough for me.
The following is an announcement in their forum.

What great memories those pictures bring back.
Just think what they could do with so little and the typing of your own programs to debug and have such a swell time using.
Those were the days. But then, so are these the days as we wanted more, more, more!
nice
thats sick
Their website is a little bit juvenile (readability wise), don’t you think?
Or is it the 90s feel?
Even it is fake or not sounds like a fun
Idea to do to my old commodore
