How to Add Classic Style Retweets to New Twitter
The New Twitter web site is more like a web application than a site, and there’s only one thing missing—the ability to do the old-style quote retweets. Here’s the easy way to do it.
Just head to the site, install the Classic Retweet extension for Firefox or Chrome, or install the bookmarklet by dragging it to your bookmarks bar. Once you’ve done so, you’ll be able to do classic retweets (you’ll have to click the bookmarklet to activate if you choose that route).

It’s definitely a useful addition—if you don’t use classic retweets all the time, you should probably use the bookmarklet, since it doesn’t waste any extra memory in your browser.
