Are you looking for a fun and unique way to monitor the current weather conditions in your area? AeroWeather lets you monitor the current temperature or outside conditions by changing your system’s aero color to match.

Temperature-based color changes
- Minimum and Maximum values let you define your own range of colors
- Maximum temperature (or higher) is always red
- Minimum temperature (or lower) is always purple
- Color is calculated based on minimum and maximum values (For example, given a minimum of zero, and a maximum of 100, if the temperature is 50 degrees, the calculated color would be a shade of green)
Condition-based color changes
- UI is grey if it’s cloudy, blue if it’s sunny, white if it’s snowing, dark grey if it’s raining, etc
- Dims the Aero colors when the sun sets (retrieves sunset time from weather server). Colors appear dimmer and less vibrant
- Brightens them when the sun rises the next day
AeroWeather only shows U.S. locations at the moment, so we chose two cities on opposite coasts for our examples. For the temperature example we choose a zip code in the Boston area. Looks like the temperature is in the 50s based on the color…
And for our weather example we chose a zip code in the Los Angeles area…got some cloudiness going on there.
One item of interest that we noticed on our test system is that when you exit the application, the aero color does not switch back to your default. That will need to be done manually…
System Requirements: Windows Vista or 7 with aero enabled and the .NET Framework 3.5 or higher.
Note: The setup.exe file will download the necessary files from the internet to install AeroWeather on your system.
