Free Old-School Downloadable Games for Your Windows Systems

Do you enjoy playing old-school computer games? If you are feeling the nostalgia, then we have a good fix for you. Developer Erich Kohl has a webpage full of old-school style video games that are available for download for free. Each of the games will list specific details relevant to it such as O.S., hardware, and graphics requirements.

For our example we downloaded Sink ze Ship (listed approximately half-way down the page) and used it on our Windows 7 system. Game play was easy to manage…left click on the mouse to drop the bombs and the ESC Key to exit the game. Plane and boat speeds will vary, so keep your eyes open!

From the website: Some of these programs are Windows based, and some are MS-DOS based. Some come with installation programs, some come in the form of ZIP archives that you have to extract onto your system. To install and run any of these programs, simply run the installation file, or copy the files contained within the ZIP archive into a directory or folder on your hard drive and run the executable file.

    DUDE. Scorched Earth aka Scorched3D.

    Where. Do. We. Find. It.

Does anyone remember that? Just simple jagged horizon, totally 2D, wind + velocity, and you choose your ammo based on wins, if memory serves.

It was actually PRE-ID Software’s Duke Nukem (side-scroller,) if that says anything.
