How much time do your children spend in front of the screen? If it is more than two hours per day, they run a higher risk of having behavior problems according to new research.
The children in the study were given a questionnaire to measure their psychological well-being with regard to emotional, peer, conduct, and hyperactivity issues. The results of the questionnaires were consistent concerning the “two hour limit/higher risk factor” regardless of the amount of physical activity each child engaged in.
From the article: In other words, according to the results of these questionnaires, the kid who spends hours every day playing soccer and constructing tree forts and skipping over sidewalk cracks runs the same risk of behavioral problems as the kid who is couch-bound, so long as they’re both dedicating more than two hours a day to watching a screen of some type.
