Dropbox Beta for Android Uploads Large Files in the Background

The latest version of Dropbox for Android has a great feature built in, along with the regular bugfixes and small changes.

According to the release notes for this latest version, this version of the Dropbox client uploads files in the background, and then once the upload is done, the service shuts itself off automatically—definitely a great way to save battery life on your Android phone.

You’ll need to manually install this version if you want it right away, or if you wait a while they will release it into the Market.
