Want to shorten URLs with Google’s Goo.gl URL shortener? Now you can do it directly from their site.
Google just opened the doors to their own URL shortener today. You’ve likely noticed Goo.gl links in Twitter posts from Feedburner; now you can make your own Goo.gl links. Just browse to goo.gl, insert your link, and you’ll get a shortened link ready to use on Twitter or elsewhere. Goo.gl also offers stats on your shortened URLs just like Bit.ly. And, it’s got one extra feature … add .qr to the end of any Goo.gl address to get a QR code for it!
If you use Google’s Chrome browser, you can automatically shorten links with the goo.gl extension, too.
