Who Needs a Super Fast CPU? You Can Make a 2-Bit Processor On Paper!
When reader Yutaka wrote in telling us that he made a 2-bit CPU on paper, we were scratching our heads—but after reading his article, it’s actually pretty interesting.
The basic idea is that you can print out the “processor” and use the pieces to step through a simulated set of instructions and figure out how a processor is supposed to work. It’s very interesting, and decidedly nerdy.
