On-Bird Camera Shows Dizzying Flights of Peregrine Falcon and Goshawk

Tiny spy cameras let you see firsthand what it looks like to the Peregrine Falcon and Goshawk as they fly through the air and trees at high speed.

With maneuvers that would make the Blue Angels envious, these animals fly through the air with grace and confidence.

Speeds of nearly 200mph, dives and turns that produce 10Gs+, maneuvering through dense forests at high speed only inches from the ground, and only a fraction of a second from impact.

Love the “bird’s eye” view! At times, it’s dizzying. GREAT video.

Great shots, especially the high-speed jaunt through the woods.

BTW, Discovery or the History channel showed a similar project a few years ago. As I recall the birds had more of a problem because the cameras were somewhat larger and more difficult to maneuver with.
