HTC Phone UI Animated Clock and Weather Desktop Gadget for Windows

Add a wonderful bit of eye candy to your Windows desktop with this HTC phone UI styled gadget. The gadget is animated, easy to configure, and can be set up with weather based wallpapers to match the current conditions.

Notes: For our example we used the 1.9 stable zip file version. There is also a 2.0 alpha available for those who are feeling adventurous.

Just unzip the contents, add them to an appropriate Program Files folder, and create a shortcut to the HTCHome.exe file.

To access the settings just right click on the gadget or right click on the System Tray icon. Change any settings as needed, click Save, and get ready to enjoy the eye candy. Notice that you can disable the System Tray icon and enable the wallpaper changing if desired.

HTC Home works on Windows Vista/7 and requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (SP1) or higher.

Anybody know of a similar app for Linux, more specifically, Ubuntu? I love this, but I don’t want to have Windows just for that. I’d like one for Ubuntu, if someone knows one.
