Yahoo Mail to Get New Version This Fall
Looks like Yahoo is finally working on a major update to Yahoo Mail, which has been losing ground to Gmail on a daily basis.
As part of a project code-named “Minty,” Yahoo plas to juice up the performance of its Web-based e-mail service and bring its look in line with iPad and Android versions of the product, the Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.
“We have been previewing our next version of e-mail that provides higher performance, sleeker design, and great integration” with social-networking sites, a Yahoo representative told the Journal.

Can I retain my current E-mail account settings, as I don’t use Tritter or any of the social networking sites nor do I have or intend to purchase an ipad/ipod or other like items
Oh…Thank God Yahoo was working on an upgrade…
I was losing all hope and infact though of using my Yahoo Account via GMail with POP access.
I love GMail’s HTML options (insert images, urls, hotlinks, etc)…
I don’t need Yahoo mail to include social networking features.
I just need it to work as it’s supposed to without those long “loading….” waits.
Google products are generally poor, chromes only good because it is their first version, wait till they are on version 8, it will be as poor as any product. I just want simple e-mail that works, non of this social network or other gimicky rubbish that geeks with nothing better to do love. Google Wave hardly succeded did it? Google don’t have a clue.
@tom
dude chrome is on version 7, not their first version..
