How-To Geek
The Space Invaders Vista Desktop
Who says Vista doesn’t look as good as Windows 7?
Well, just about everybody does. But here’s an interesting desktop that with a great wallpaper, system stats, and all sorts of other stuff arranged into a bar at the bottom, not unlike Ubuntu, except better.
Here’s the details:
- default aero theme
- virtuawin for virtual desktops
- samurize taskbar config for workspace switching, gmail counter, download counter
- truelaunchbar for quicklaunch _menus_ , desktop menu and also the bar on the bottom for system meters
- fences for desktop icons (hidden)
- winamp with slightly color modded skin
- wall: using the great Spacender icons of manuee, inspired by his icon preview.

Link to wallpaper (not the icons of inspiration), please. :-)
I would have linked to the wallpaper, but he didn’t provide it.
