How-To Geek
MetroViewer is a Windows 7 Phone Style Image Viewer for Your Desktop
MetroViewer is a small, easy to use image viewer for Windows that utilizes the streamlined and elegant looking Metro UI.
To view images in MetroViewer use the folder button to browse to the location or drag-and-drop your images into the program.
Note: Shown here with the image pinned (far left button pointing down). The menu will appear when hovering your mouse over it. Unpinning the image will allow the menu to be visible full-time.
Here are some things to keep in mind about MetroViewer:
- MetroViewer opens at the same default size each time regardless of window size before closing
- The image will automatically adjust in size to match up with the window’s size if you change it
- Click and hold your mouse button in the pink toolbar area at the top to move MetroViewer around (right beneath the words “MetroViewer Beta” is an excellent spot)
- Double click with the left mouse button to maximize/restore the window
You can also view basic information about the image at the top by hovering your mouse over the appropriate toolbar item.
