Can You Make Money Mining Gold from Motherboard Connectors?
The geeks over at Tom’s Hardware decided to find out whether they could get enough gold from motherboard connectors to actually make the process worthwhile, and posted up a picture guide to the process.
The guide is a little frustrating, broken up on 18 pages and all, but it’s an interesting thought, and they detail the entire process, though you wouldn’t want to do it yourself considering the amount of chemicals they had to use.

Couldn’t help but chuckle. Is that the question of a geek or is that the question of a geek? Sad, but I resemble that remark.
I might start sending my mobos into cash4gold.com now! I can’t wait to get my check in the mail! :P
Awesome Work! I was told, by the friendly folks @ freegeek, that 90% of USA’s waste goes to China to be recycled (usually by children!). I personally, would like to see OS’s systems re-install and jobs found for the people, ooops computers, that others have deemed “too old”.
