Regulate How Often Thunderbird Checks For New Messages

If you are an email junkie, you probably want to get all your email messages as quickly as possible.  By changing a couple settings in Mozilla’s email client Thunderbird we can set up how often servers are checked for new messages.

Open Thunderbird and select Tools Account Settings and highlight “Server Settings”.  Now simply make sure and check the box next to “Check for new messages every ‘…’ minutes”.  Enter in how often you want Thunderbird to go out and check the servers for new messages.  I also check for messages at startup so in the morning I get everything right away.

This is a pretty straight forward tip, I hope this helps out new users to Thunderbird.
