Apple Enables Two-Step Verification Option for Apple ID Accounts

Yesterday Apple joined a host of other companies that offer two-step verification in response to the increasing level of security threats to user accounts. Those of you who have been setting up two-step verification across the board for your online accounts can now add your Apple ID to the ‘completed’ list.
Setting up two-step verification will require you to log into your Apple ID account and go into the account management options. From there it will only take a few minutes to set up (see instructions page linked to below).
Here is how the process will work once you have two-step verification set up for your account…

You can learn more about the new two-step verification option and view step-by-step instructions for setting it up by visiting the Apple support page linked below.
IMPORTANT: Make sure to save a copy of your 14-digit Recovery Key in a safe place where you can recover it if needed! Apple also recommends keeping a spare copy in an alternate safe location.
