It converts as you type and you can choose to show either common units or all units. An included equation editor allows you to add your own custom units and the new inline calculator allows you to perform calculations directly in the input boxes.

ConvertAll is a handy, free unit conversion program for Windows and Linux that allows you to combine the units any way you want. It also comes packaged as a portable app, so you can do your unit conversions on the go. It has all the same great features of ConvertAll including easy unit selection and ability to combine over 400 units for conversions. And, as with all PortableApps.com apps, it leaves no personal information behind on the computer.

It contains more than 1000 units of measurement commonly encountered while solving engineering or everyday conversion problems. Only the most common units are visible by default (e.g. Area, Distance, Temperature, Velocity) but hundreds more are included and easily found using the Search function.

Quad-Lock Unit Converter is fast and time efficient. There is no need for an installation package (it's completely portable), no splash screen, and no silly registration or survey forms. Conversion Calculator

Conversion Calculator is a small freeware program for Windows that performs conversions from one system of measurement to another (for example, from Fahrenheit to Celsius or Miles per hour to Kilometers per hour, and so on) using a calculator interface. Version 3.0 performs about 1200 conversions, and can be user updated to incorporate more using either the Update button or by editing a text file with Notepad. You can also display the conversion factor for any given conversion by entering the number 1 into the calculator.

They have a Currency Calculator, but when we tried the program, there was an error in parsing the downloaded data file.

Google can convert between a variety of units. Just type a search in the form "X unit to unit." For example, "40 degrees f to c" converts 40 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius. You can also use the Windows 7 Calculator to perform unit conversions.
