Thanks for clarification, every time on rain I think of that and never had an answer
Walking only gets you wet from above? Bollocks. Your head doesn’t shield your entire body when walking. That’s what umbrellas are for. Running, and therefore spending LESS TIME in the rain, is the better option, as Mythbusters proved. And even if they didn’t prove it, it’s bleeding obvious anyway.
Like I always say: the longer and more detailed you have to explain something, the more likely that it’s BS.

Watch the video again.
This time, listen too.
It’s metre, not meter
@ Ed. It depends on where you live.
Bedlam, I did watch it. It’s false. Even MythBusters agrees it’s false. My own experience proves it’s false: my wife ran and I walked in the rain once, from our car to our front door (about 100 meters). She was relatively dry, I was soaked. It’s that simple.
@Paul
I don’t normally waste time commenting on such things, but you’re an idiot. As Bedlamb said, “Watch the video again.
This time, listen too.”
Okay, what part of the video do you think I didn’t listen to? Please tell me the in-point.
The video keeps implying that when walking, you only get wet from the top, and none from the side; which is total and utter bollocks.
This guy isn’t running, but hey, the physics video above says that only his head should be wet -> http://talkvietnam.com/uploads/2012/05/man-rain-ho-chi-minh-city-366414.jpg
