Where I used to work as a tech support guy, the quality inspectors, both male and female, HAD to work standing at their inspection table, period. The company wouldn’t allow even pregnant women to sit as this would “establish a precedent”, and corporations HATE establishing precedents. When a pregnant woman couldn’t stand any longer, it was time for maternity leave – unpaid, as I remember, not ever have been pregnant myself. Yes, this was in California – NOT some overseas sweatshop, but a domestic one.
