Billy Hippopotamus (William Johnson Hippopotamus) was a pygmy hippo given to President Coolidge in 1927 by none other than tire titan Harvey Firestone. Billy was housed in the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. and is the common ancestor of most pygmy hippos in the United States.
