Dust’thulu has awakened!
Called to clean a “dirty monitor” and I was pointed to this thing [via Reddit - Tech Support Gore]
…and it’s powered up while u do this?
(Don’t forget to rub yer feet on the carpet before pulling that fuzz off the pc.)
No rig of mine has ever gotten THAT dirty! Not even the 2nd-hand ones that were given to me or this one I found on the curb.
Must have been using the intake fan as a vacuum cleaner
I just do not know what to say about this poor computer other than OMG! This awful!
I just don’t know what went wrong!
i suck out the dust of my pc once a month like clockwork, i use the hose attachment on it
Makes me think of the cotton candy post
I’d bet that my stepmother’s computer looks like this. She REFUSES to let me work on/clean it. Takes 5 minutes to boot too…………
Have lots of those at my work on the production floor. We used to do preventative maintenance and clean them once a year. After a downsizing, we did not have time to do it. We tried to get a temp employee to come in for a month or so in the summer to do it but it was to costly. Management decided it was cheaper to replace computers that burn up.
Take it outside and hit it with a left blower making sure the case won’t blow over of course and take apart the power supply and use some compressed air, etc. If it still worked afterwards, I would keep it as a point of pride.
I bet these type of people get there oil changed in their cars when they buy a new one. Just drive it till it dies. Not gonna get to the mythical 100K miles out of their car, or have heir computer until the next gen OS arrives.
PS my Ford F150 has 232K miles on It, And my XP machine out runs Vista machines.
