Jason Fitzpatrick is warranty-voiding DIYer and all around geek. When he's not documenting mods and hacks he's doing his best to make sure a generation of college students graduate knowing they should put their pants on one leg at a time and go on to greatness, just like Bruce Dickinson. You can follow him on Google+ if you'd like.

That was fascinating – thanks for a great, informative article. I still have a large collection of 78s (many by the Victor Talking Machine Co., forerunner of Victrola), 45s and 33s, along with turntables to play them – now I wonder about the manufacturing process for these old ones in the days before computers and computer-controlled automated machines. Probably much more labor-intensive, as so many manufacturing procedures were.
Great video, really enjoyed watching it.
