William Shatner Vs. Will Wheaton: Narrating The Curiosity Rover Landing
If you’re, well, a bit curious how NASA is going to pull off landing the largest space rover ever constructed safely on the surface of Mars, William Shatner and Wil Wheaton face off to bring you the facts.
On August 6th, Curiosity will land on Mars–in the above video William Shatner highlights how the rover will be safely deployed and what it will after its deployment. In the video below, Wil Wheaton does the same in a sort of sci-fi actors as campy science video narrator duel.
We don’t know about you, but after watching both videos our vote for the most dramatic use of the word Curiosity goes to Shatner.

Thank you for posting this. Wonder if theres any plan to go/get out of the crater after the primary mission is complete? After all, many of our probes have outlasted the primary mission for which they were sent.
Heres wishing a safe landing to Curiosity!
Definitely have to give this one to William Shatner.
My vote’s for Shatner.
Me vote Will Shatner too!
There was life Jim, but not as we know it.
While I haven’t spent time watching either of these, might I suggest a NASA clip with the engineers? Great information, well presented. I saw on the Astronomy Picture of the Day for July 31, 2012
