    Looks kind of boring, actually. Most of the win 7 and even vista wallpapers are much better than this, some of the win 7 are stunning actually. I could make a photo equal to this, and I am no pro.

    yeah.. its a flower.. kinda lame.. at least in windows 7 beta they were clever and came up with a beta fish, then made a fairly pretty default wallpaper for it later.
    this tho.. I could go outside and take a pic of a flower.. (or just find one on google images)
    now if it was something more like this however..

    I believe they chose this for its minimalist look to ‘blend in’ with the overall Metro theme. The final version of the image for the lock screen has also just been leaked and it is very similar in its minimalist style/nature to this.

    Personally, I like something with a bit more ‘going on’ in the wallpapers that I use on my desktops compared to this too. ^_^
