How to Create Custom Personalized Maps in Google Maps [Video]
Though the custom maps feature has been out for a bit, you may have forgotten about it or it may all be new for you. Either way this wonderful video shows you how to create your own custom maps and enjoy an awesome feature of this popular Google service.
‘My Maps’ is mentioned in the video above, but is now referred to as ‘My Places’ in Google Maps (as seen below).
There is also a nice interactive tutorial available.

Thanks, I did this once several years ago for the kids weddings but later I tried to make another map and could not remember how I did it. Good job and I see many new and cool features have been added.

Is there a way to upload a route to a garmin GPS using my maps?
I was messing around w/ this last week, to map out my apartment hunt. However, I cannot find a good way to remove locations once they’re placed…
