Apparently gas is going to be a lot cheaper in the future or it is undramatic to draw other types of propulsion. Sorry to be sch a wet blanket but how do these monsters get around? Love them anyway

These are awesome! Maybe one day…

    1. Who says they run on petroleum?

    2. In space, you actually need very little propulsion since there is no air, no drag. The problem with super-fast space travel isn’t getting the speed in the first place, it’s eventually stopping (at the right time). Space engines as usually depicted are pure fantasy designed to tap into what we know about terrestrial propulsion to make it more realistic. To those who know better, a ship with big engines is pure fantasy. A ship with sustainable generational life support (like a garden, or rainforest deck) is a little more realistic. Even at faster-than-light speeds, intra-galactic travel between inhabitable, colonized/inhabited worlds would take years, decades. Unless we discover something like Stargates, or the jump system seen in Mass Effect, for a more recent example.
