I think I would have reversed the hinges on the other side. Good idea though.

No project is complete without duct tape and bailing wire!
Why waste the money on the hinge. Look good to me, but needs some duct tape.
Shouldn’t the hinges be the other way round?
I used to use a metal bookend for much the same purpose.
