Better yet: A kickstarter for a novelty mouse with a 2 way mechanical milage counter built in.

I use to wonder how much of a distance I wrote with my pencils back in elementary school.

@ Citrus Rain, I don’t know but The Parker Jotter does about 1350m per cartridge and I use about 3 an academic year!!

haha just because the question is entriguing I’m actually thinking about programming a keylogger like program that would automatically start and counting when scroll is triggered and convert it to a measure of distance :P

A couple of years ago or so, How-To Geek gave us a program to do just that. It was called Mousotron, and I still have it.
Just checked and it’s still there.

I had a program which would track the keystrokes and also the mouse movement.Lost it :(.Will search for it

  9. Ushindi

Moonheart: Look just above your comment. Mousotron does all that, and I’m including keystroke counts.

I’m pretty sure that Win95 or Win98 could tell you how many miles you had pushed the mouse around the desk.
