First!
And wow, an awesome comic!
Brilliant
Really? No pocket protector and a tie?!
When’s the last time you actually saw an IT person wear a tie or was pushing 60?! If you ask me, the guy in the box looks a bit old. (Maybe you got the characters reversed?)
Still, quite funny.
well…last time I saw an IT guy wearing a tie, was 1min ago as my co-worker walked passed me ;o) …as for the age….depends on where you’re at I guess.
On-Topic: I like this one :) (granted, I like most of them..some are just a bit above my head, yes…but I still find most entertaining)
Hey Robert! It’s a CARTOON! (Get a grip there bud. Sounds like you’re sniping a bit.)
Cartoons accentuate stereotypes and characteristics and often do it in a humorous way. Most cartoons I’ve seen usually depict IT guys with pocket protectors and are often quite young. They almost always wear glasses to help depict their seeming book smarts too. That’s not a “real” observation but one that seems to hold some degree of a humorous stereotype.
Therefore, I still think the characters should have been reversed. Seems to me that the older guy would be the guy more likely in need to “break the glass.”
No big deal. It’s still funny either way.
It’d be funnier if they reversed the ages, then the old guy needed to figure out a computer terminal to get the IT guy out.
I think I just got it! I’ve been thinking about it off and on all day…
The IT guy in the box is actually a Congressman who votes in favor of SOPA/PIPA or a MPAA/RIAA lawyer ready to “solve” all our information technology issues for us.
