Hack a Garage Remote Into a Wireless Shutter Release Button

This inexpensive camera hack turns a garage door opener into a wireless shutter remote with a 150 foot range–perfect for the awesome light paintings the tutorial author creates.

Courtesy of Sawo at Enlightpaintment, we have this clever tutorial that takes a cheap garage door open and coverts it for use with a Canon camera as a remote trigger. It’s a great way to easily trigger your camera at a significant distance which is important for the kind of light painting that Sawo is doing.
