Roll Your Own Android-Controlled Garage Door Opener [Video]
The problem with many home automation hacks is that they are extremely complex and often (for fun) include extra features. This garage door hack keeps it simple: press button, open door.
Andy didn’t want a garage door opener that took photos, updated Twitter, or otherwise pulled any fancy stunts. He just wanted to use his Android phone to send a Bluetooth-based signal to his garage.
