    The J-Moon you mention is just one.

    There is also a set of phenomena native to California known as the K-Moons.

    That would be Kim, Khloe, Kourtney, and uh… Kato Kaelin. ;-)

    Even though it appears larger it is an optical illusion….on Saturday when the moon appears huge, take a pencil and hold it at arms length toward the moon….note how round the moon is from the tip of the eraser down….next time the moon is high in the sky (as usual) take the same pencil and repeat the step from above…I think you will find the same range covered on the pencil…..seems wierd but I have tried it for past “super” moons and it is the same size……..
