See All of the 2012 Moon Phases Before They Happen [Video]
What do you get when you combine a year’s worth of NASA lunar projects into continuous render? You get this awesome video that shows you ever house of every moon phase in all of 2012.
Over at Discover’s Bad Astronomy, they were inspired by NASA’s cache of Lunar Orbiter data. Unlike many other lunar exploration tools online, the images released by NASA are extremely detailed and precise–data from the Orbiter allows them to calculate down to the very shadow angles within the craters. Bad Astronomy took all those hour-by-hour rendered images and strung them together into a video loaded with facts about the project and the projections it uses.

Jason Fitzpatrick is warranty-voiding DIYer and all around geek. When he's not documenting mods and hacks he's doing his best to make sure a generation of college students graduate knowing they should put their pants on one leg at a time and go on to greatness, just like Bruce Dickinson. You can follow him on Google+ if you'd like.
