Google Docs for Android Updates; Now Sports Real Time Collaboration and Editing
Although you’ve been able to open Google Docs with an Android app for ages, it wasn’t the full experience of seeing collaborative and on-the-fly edits–until now.

Jason Fitzpatrick is warranty-voiding DIYer and all around geek. When he's not documenting mods and hacks he's doing his best to make sure a generation of college students graduate knowing they should put their pants on one leg at a time and go on to greatness, just like Bruce Dickinson. You can follow him on Google+ if you'd like.

I hope these improvements make it on to iOS
Great job by Google and Android again. Would be very helpful to many of us. Meanwhile, I’ve come across some new tools which looks very interesting and handy, for collaboration.
One such tool is CollateBox http://www.collatebox.com/ . Just registered with this one found their video looks neat..Eagerly waiting for this one.
