Stupid Geek Tricks: How to Plot the Batman Curve in Google Search

Last year Google added the ability to plot graphs, which allows you to plot mathematical functions right on the Google search result page. Here’s how to make the Batman logo.
Originally when the graphing capabilities were added to search, many people wondered how advanced the Google Graphing Engine really was. Many search guru’s argued that it wasn’t possible to graph the “Batman Function”, however, recently a man named Roland Mieslinger managed to figure out the seemingly impossible equation.
To graph the Batman Curve you will have to copy and paste the following in the Google search box:
2*sqrt(-abs(abs(x)-1)*abs(3-abs(x))/((abs(x)-1)*(3-abs(x))))(1+abs(abs(x)-3)/(abs(x)-3))sqrt(1-(x/7)^2)+(5+0.97(abs(x-.5)+abs(x+.5))-3(abs(x-.75)+abs(x+.75)))(1+abs(1-abs(x))/(1-abs(x))),-3sqrt(1-(x/7)^2)sqrt(abs(abs(x)-4)/(abs(x)-4)),abs(x/2)-0.0913722(x^2)-3+sqrt(1-(abs(abs(x)-2)-1)^2),(2.71052+(1.5-.5abs(x))-1.35526sqrt(4-(abs(x)-1)^2))sqrt(abs(abs(x)-1)/(abs(x)-1))+0.9

Alternatively you can click on this link, and it will take to the page. Thanks to a clever engineer and the Google Graphing Engine it is easier than ever to show off our geek skills.

It’s simple: we graph the batman!
I tried but I keep getting a limit of 32 words so it won’t graph it.
@paul – try it in firefox or chrome
Doesn’t work for me in IE8, Chrome, AND Firefox.
Each one states that the querie is limited to 32 words.
plugged it into the browser bar in chrome – worked perfectly
A small error on your side HTG. It should be 2*… The * sign should appear after 2 in the first line of the code.
Thanks for that, i fixed it.
lool, thats crazy. i could do that with my TI calculator too
Google has provided us almost everything, I am wondering how we would live without Google.
Ha! A modern day Bat-signal
Thanks for the sheer joy of math and smart engineers with humoe
