VideoDropper Saves YouTube Videos Directly To Your Dropbox Account
If you’re looking for a dead simple way to save YouTube videos, VideoDropper dumps them right into your Dropbox account.
Whether you’re saving a copy for later archiving or you want an easy way to get them to your mobile device for offline viewing, VideoDropper makes saving videos to Dropbox a one-click affair.
The service works as promised, the only complaint we can log is two-prong: 1) it would be nice to specify where the files ended up instead of just dumping them into the root folder (even something like /Apps/VideoDropper/ would be nice) and 2) once you load the URL at VideoDropper or click the bookmarklet there is no indicator anything is happening–the file just appears in your Dropbox root directory. All that said the service puts the files you want in your Dropbox account, so who are we to complain?

Nifty, but ….
The application gets access to your ENTIRE DropBox account. Is anyone weirded out by this? I might have to set up a DropBox account solely for downloading YouTube videos.
Neato. I will try it.
I just created a free account for just this applet. It took 12 hours for it to dump a video into the account but it did work.
It’s a little scary that the service will gain complete access to my DropBox account…….
Does it let you choose the format (e.g. MP4) and resolution (e.g. 720p) like KeepFile?
Also, Dropbox is so 2011. I got 3.75GB by hassling a couple friends into hitting my referral link. I have something like 6.25GB with SugarSync just for doing the tutorial and installing the Android app, which had a tutorial of its own to get me more space. No referrals to get 2.5GB more? Yes please! Hell, even Amazon gives you 5GB. I forget what Microsoft gives you, but it’s more than Dropbox. Buh-bye Dropbox!
